Issues

I believe that to understand a candidate you have to understand their personal beliefs on the issues.  Too many candidates have been elected because they had a broad message of change or because they were simply not the other guy.  I would rather have the support of people who understand and agree with my views. Where I cannot get support, I would prefer discussing compromised solutions rather than stating opinions that solve nothing.

As I am not a politician and currently have an occupation, there is no need for me to be vague or try to swing votes my way to win an election. My livelihood does not sit in the balance.  With that said the following are my views on many of the political issues facing our country today.

First, I believe the answer to the majority of our internal problems is a commitment to a free-market economy. Free-markets breed innovations and stimulate all sectors.  I also believe we as a country must be dedicated to the personal freedoms and civil liberties our nation was founded upon.

On foreign-policy, I believe we must promote free trade and peace.  For years we have consistently intervened in foreign affairs that have damaged our reputation, increased our deficit and put the lives of American men and women in harms way.  As a country we must pick our battles much more selectively.
